01Our thesis

Intelligence is effective and efficient resource allocation

The dominant approach to AI still equates intelligence with size: more parameters, more data, more compute. Nature tells a different story.

Since 1986 we have known the structure of the 302 neurons of a worm, C. elegans, which moves, mates, regulates itself and prioritises under changing inputs; yet we cannot simulate its behaviour. A human brain runs 86 billion neurons on 20 W. Effective intelligence is not a matter of adding components but of dynamic interaction, context and regulation under scarce energy and time.

That insight, formalised as the Emotional Theory of Rationality (Garcés & Finkel, 2019, Frontiers in Integrative Neuroscience), is at the heart of our technology.
