The Mindkind at BBVA Spark Summit 2026 | AI Investment
The Mindkind joins BBVA Spark Summit 2026, connecting its traceable AI architecture and commercial roadmap with Europe's deep-tech investment ecosystem.

Founder & CEO Mario Garcés joined a gathering of international investors and high-growth technology companies in Barcelona, as The Mindkind advances a commercially focused, architecture-led approach to traceable and adaptive artificial intelligence.
Barcelona, 6 November 2026. The Mindkind participated in the BBVA Spark Summit 2026, held on 5 November at Los Tinglados in Barcelona. Represented by its Founder & CEO, Mario Garcés, the company joined an international community of founders, venture capital investors and technology leaders to explore a central question for the next generation of European deep tech: how to turn genuinely differentiated technology into scalable businesses.

Under the theme “Crafting the Future”, the summit placed artificial intelligence, industrial innovation and international growth at the heart of the investment conversation. For The Mindkind, those priorities are directly connected to its strategy: commercialising explainable AI today while developing a longer-term path towards Algorithmic Artificial General Intelligence (A-AGI).
An international investment ecosystem, with capital and ambition
According to BBVA’s official event report, the summit brought together more than 200 startups and 100 investors representing 70 venture capital funds, collectively managing over €55 billion. Participants came from several European countries and the United States, among other markets.
BBVA also reported that its Spark initiative had reached €1.5 billion in financing commitments to innovative, high-growth companies since its launch in 2022. These are ecosystem-wide figures, not financing received by The Mindkind, but they illustrate the scale of institutional attention now directed towards technological entrepreneurship.
The event created a valuable setting for The Mindkind to strengthen its visibility among potential investors and strategic partners interested in defensible intellectual property, technological differentiation and routes to industrial adoption.
The industrial tech renaissance: where The Mindkind fits
Among the most relevant discussions was “The Industrial Tech Renaissance: Unlocking the Next Frontier of Technology”, with perspectives from Cathay Innovation, Speedinvest, planqc and THEKER. The programme also featured “Winning Globally from Europe”, addressing the investment conditions needed to build international technology leaders, and “Rebuilding While Running: How Leaders Reinvent for the AI Era”, focused on how businesses adapt to AI-driven change.
For The Mindkind, these themes point to an opportunity beyond the current concentration of attention on ever-larger generative models. Enterprises also need AI systems that can adapt to changing conditions, operate efficiently and explain their decisions, especially when those decisions affect critical processes.
That is the challenge addressed by the company’s proprietary ETR Cognitive Architecture, rooted in neuroscience research and complex-systems principles. Instead of treating intelligence solely as a question of computational scale, ETR investigates how adaptive capabilities can emerge through the interaction of simpler processes while preserving a native decision trail.
From foundational research to an investable commercial roadmap
The Mindkind’s investment proposition is designed around progressive, measurable capabilities rather than a single all-or-nothing AGI milestone.
Its current ETR 0.5-FLY technology is an explainable and adaptive AI engine designed for decision-critical environments, with deployment models including SaaS, on-premise infrastructure and edge computing. The company is pursuing commercial validation through paid pilots and integration into third-party systems.
The roadmap then progresses towards more advanced causal and cognitive capabilities, with A-AGI as a long-term technological destination. This staged approach connects near-term industrial value with the potential upside of a fundamentally different AI architecture.
That strategy also underpins The Mindkind’s €5 million funding round, described on its investor information page, which is intended to support technical validation, commercial pilots, go-to-market development and the next architectural milestones.
Lessons in growth, partnerships and long-term value creation
The session “Paack’s Journey to Exit”, featuring perspectives from InfraVia Capital, Kibo Ventures, Big Sur Ventures and Paack, added another dimension to the summit: scaling technology requires more than a promising product. The choice of partners, financial strategy and execution through difficult stages can become decisive factors in company-building.

For The Mindkind, participating in this environment is part of a broader effort to connect its technological foundations with the partners, markets and capital necessary for sustainable international growth.
The company leaves Barcelona with a clear strategic message: the next generation of valuable AI businesses will be defined not only by what their systems can do, but also by how reliably, efficiently and transparently they can do it.
Intelligence by architecture, not by scale.
