NPCs that think
AGI for videogames and virtual worlds
ETR can transform experiences in videogames and virtual worlds: characters with human-like reasoning that adapt to players’ strategies and learn from interactions, creating immersive and dynamic environments. A non-player character must decide on the player’s device, in real time, thousands of times per session: bounded compute, functional emotions, adaptation and an inspectable trail. That is the problem ETR was built for.
01The challenge
A machine or a human?
Our most ambitious goal is an AAGI capable of instilling self-doubt in a machine living in a virtual environment: questioning its own nature, pondering whether it is truly a machine or, in some profound sense, human.

Intelligent NPCs
ETR will bring NPCs to life, making interactions so realistic that you will feel you are dealing with another human.
- Their own motivations and needs.
- A sense of self and agency.
- Fully natural responses to human interaction.

Virtual worlds will arrive
Virtual worlds are a pathway to the future of the internet: places where humans and machines interact, socialise and transact.
- Will avatars work there, creating economic value?
- Will humans bond with human-like machines?
- How will these changes affect mankind ethically?
02What ETR brings
